Echo of a Distant Tide

Brad Blackman Echo of a Distant Tide 2014

This is a piece that began life as something else entirely. I dripped colors on the canvas that were complimentary to the greens and purples present in the overall piece, and it evolved into something that evokes a sense of being underwater. It was created during Art Every Day Month 2014, on days fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, and twenty.

The title takes itself from Pink Floyds song Echoes, which I think is about the long path of human evolution from aquatic life to the stars.
