This reflects the beginning of a new, abstract mode I’ve found myself working in. It’s based in reality, but has been abstracted to a large degree. In a sense it could be anything. There are times my recent work has been called pre-objective, where its clear theres some object here, but it isn’t defined and it won’t be. I’ve also re-embraced color, moving away from the gray cityscapes and urban structures. What remains is the way I handle light and shadow, creating atmospheric horizons and skies.
